11th Wirral Folk Festival

Wirral Folk FestivalThis friendly 4 day all-on-one-site festival is in its 11th year and is one of the very best of its kind in the north of England.  With folk icons Fairport Convention headlining the festival, an impressive  line-up of folk and acoustic acts will play the main stage:

Friday evening: @ 7-15pm
Anna Shannon * Kieran Goss * Elbow Jane *   Simply Dylan - performed by the John O’Connell Band

Saturday afternoon: @ 1-00pm
Fiddlestone * Eilidh Grant * Sunjay Brayne * Drop the Floor *   The Houghton Weavers

Saturday evening: @ 8-00pm
Other Roads *   Richard Digance *   Cara Dillon

Sunday afternoon
Kim Lowings & the Greenwood * Harvey Andrews *  Chris While & Julie Matthews

Sunday evening: 
Merry Hell * Reg Meuross * Blackbeard’s Tea Party *  Fairport Convention

In addition, Festival Fringe events will include:
Mini-concerts, Chances to Meet (the artistes), Open Mic sessions, Folk Club concerts, Late Night extras, Singarounds, Singers & Musicians sessions, skiffle, ukulele and Celtic music sessions.
Training workshops will include - Guitar, Ukulele, Harmonica, Songwriting and Poetry plus Storytelling, Morris dance displays and a Craft Fair.

With camping, showers and toilets, good food and real ale all on-site the facilities and entertainment are superb. The campsite opens at 4-30pm on Thursday 4th June and the first event commences at 8pm that evening. The festival concludes at midnight on Sunday 7th  June.
