Acoustic Roots - Take Two

Geoff MuldaurAfter a hugely successful concert series last year, Acoustic Roots at Wigan Parish Church has announced another stellar set of gigs for 2015.

March 6th - Will Pound Band. With special guests Iain till and Stephanie Kearley
April 17th - Mark Harrison with special guest Susie Jones
April 28th -  Geoff Muldaur (pictured) with special guests Steve Folk and Richard Knott
May 29th -  Gentle Men (Robb Johnson and Roy Bailey)
June 26th - Rod Clements and Iain Thomson with special guests The Huers
July 24th -  Steve Ashley with special guest Paul Liddell
September 24th - Iain Matthews, Andy Roberts, and Mark Griffiths with "Reinventing Richard " an exploration and re-imagining of the songs of Richard Farina. Special guest Tim Lee
October 23rd - Lucy Ward Band.  Special guest Susie Jones
November 20th - A very rare solo show from Chris Leslie. Special guests Chris and Siobhan Nelson
December 4th - O'Hooley and Tidow

"I've tried to get some of the best artists around," says promoter David Cartlidge. "I hope that (at least) some of the list will interest people enough for them to come to concerts (increasing numbers return for other ones.) We have a beautiful and acoustically excellent building, a very good sound man, quality artists and the bar is run by the Vicar!
