A Charity Ceilidh...and Other Stuff

GilmoreGawsworth Scout Hut plays host to a charity ceilidh  on Saturday 7th December 2013.  Maggoty will be providing the music and the caller is Rob Philips.  The cost is 10 including food or 25 for a family of four.  All proceeds of the evening will go to charities associated with ovarian, breast and cervical cancer.

See Gilmore and Roberts BBC Folk Awards nominees 2013, live at West Heaton First Friday Sessions,  Princes Road, Heaton Moor, Stockport on Friday 6th December 2013. Support is by West Country experimental folk artist James Hollingsworth.

One for Jake

The genius of the late Jake Thackray will not be forgotten.  Sadly you can't get to hear him live for obvious reasons, but the next best thing is John Watterson who has been doing the rounds as Fake Thackray for a while now.  John has a new song out, a tribute to the great man himself, which is embedded below.  Enjoy.
