Folking about with....Robert George Saull

Purgatory PlayersRobert George Saull is a songwriter and singer based in Sheffield, who performs solo and with his band The Purgatory Players.

Saull is influenced by traditional English folk as well as American alternative acts like Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and Smog/Bill Callahan.

"I like to mix weird surrealist and philosophical lyrical themes with ambling acoustic guitar and folk melodies," he says.

Saull has an EP Richard Furlong available on Bandcamp, with a sample track below.
