Widely considered to be Argentina’s finest and most significant tango vocalist, Martín Alvarado, will be performing twice in the Manchester area as part of his 26th international tour.
His first performance is at the Royal Northern College of Music on Friday, November 1, at 7.30pm. The second is at Spring Bank Arts in New Mills near Stockport on Saturday November 9 where he returns after a near sell-out concert there last year.
The concerts are part of Alvarado’s seventh tour of Britain and will see the award-winning troubadour perform accompanied by classically trained pianist and bandoneonista from Finland, Mikko Helenius.
Tickets for the Manchester concert are £12 (£10 concessions) and can be obtained from the RNCM at www.rncm.ac.uk or on 0161 907 5555. Tickets for New Mills are £14 on the door and £12 in advance from Spring Bank Arts or online at www.musicglue.com
