Folk-Tunes - A Workshop in Norden

Nicola Beazley is running folk workshops in her home town of Rochdale starting at the end of August,  Nicola, who is about to start her 4th year studying a folk degree at Newcastle University, has run workshops at festivals before, but this is her first solo venture, and it will become a regular occurrence if successful.

The project has the backing of Bury Met and the end product of the workshops will be show cased at the Ramsbottom Festival and Folk club in September.

The workshops are aimed at beginners to intermediate level (although all are welcome) and are spread over a whole weekend. The mornings will focus on fiddle technique and the afternoon sessions are open to all instruments, with the aim of creating a big band.

Folk-Tunes runs at Norden Old Library, OL11 5XE on 31st August & 1st September.  Prices are as follows:

Both Morning sessions: 15
Both Afternoon sessions: 15
All 4 sessions: 20

To book, or for further information, contact Nicola Beazley on 07919524840 or by e-mail:
