The Saline Fiddlers at Whitworth

The Riverside in Whitworth plays host to the Saline Fiddlers on 1st July in a bumper event organised by Rochdale Music Services.  The group from Michigan USA have performed three times at The White House, The Kennedy Centre, The Presidents Inaugural Ball and most recently have appeared on America’s got Talent.  Also appearing will be:

Jaywalkers – Well known to regular readers of this site, as well as festival goers, they were finalists in the BBC Young Folk awards 2009 & 3rd in the European Bluegrass Band Awards 2012. 

That’s all Folk! - Rochdale Music Services very own youth folk group. Currently 16 members age between 12 and 18 play a mixture of dance tunes and songs.

The group have just made it through to the national finals of the Music For Youth Festival.

Ceol Tire - After departing Rochdale Music Service for University,  some of ‘That’s all Folk!’ members went on to form their own folk band and have just finished recording their debut album. Two of the band are now studying on the Folk Music degree course at Newcastle University. They play a variety of tunes and songs from England, Ireland & Scotland.

The event takes place on Monday 1st July at 7:00pm
