Melinda Ortner - Sweet Little Lies

Melinda OrtnerLA songstress Melinda Ortner has announced a brand new track stream. Sweet Little Lies, taken from the forthcoming (and very impressive) album I Wanna Be OK is based on one of her own doomed relationships..

Talking of the song, Melinda says;

Alright, so I was GONNA bend the truth a little when it came to explaining my tune "Sweet Little Lies", but screw it. I met a guy when I was a little more "naive", shall we say. My heart was right there on my pale knit sleeve for his taking.

I'd eat up any old shit some looker with a masters degree and a passport would hand-feed me. I was sure this time he was "the one". A couple weeks of amazing dates, phone calls, x's and o's and I was thinking it was safe to tell the world, and myself, that I had found someone. But then days passed, more days then a week, then two. What a fool I was. His "sweet little lies", indeed got the best of me and I was heartbroken beyond heartbroken...
