Singer songwriter Anna Corcoran releases her debut EP Anything Better on 6th March 2013.
Anything Better is produced by Michael Gay at Elevator Studios and features Anna on vocals and piano with Robert Vincent (acoustic guitar), Etienne Girard (Double Bass),Tom Cowley (Drums) and Stephanie Kearly (Cello)
Anna graduated from Goldsmiths college in 2005, with a Bachelor of Music degree. After holding residencies in many of London's most exclusive piano bars, she made her way home to Liverpool in 2009 in search of more ‘listening audiences.’
Now her live performances are attracting acclaim. She recently sold out the Roldwalde Suite at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall in February, having previously opened for Matthews Southern Comfort at Leaf, also in Liverpool.
For Anna, it has always been about the live set, and the live sound. "The music business is in a strange place at the moment - with everything so available online these days, So few people pay for music now. They watch videos for free on youtube instead. But I really believe, people will always want to go out to watch live gigs and concerts. And that means as musicians, we need to be constantly performing, evolving and perfecting our skill,” she says.
Anything better is available for download on iTunes and Amazon and can be played on Spotify. Copies can also be downloaded from Bandcamp within Anna’s website.
Anna will also be appearing tonight, March 6th, at Grateful Freds in Formby supporting Rita Hosking.
