Ottersgear and Some Other Gear

North West Folk music clubs picLiverpool based Ottersgear are in the midst of a tour and have a number of North West dates still to fulfil. 

Ottersgear is the name of Mikey Kenney's musical folk/pop/art project which he intends to consist of numerous instalments, the first of which Ottersgear: The Quest for Rest was recently released on the Sotones label.

The highly entertaining duo will singing their compositions about life in Wigan at the Unity Club, Standish on Friday 22nd February.

Also appearing are Little Miss Pauline and Rik Jones.  All Proceeds from the event go towards running the FREE weekend of Folk Music at the Alison Arms, Coppull, 14th, 15th, 16th June 2013.  Guests already booked - Merry Hell, Wigan Ukelele Band, Anthony John Clarke.  More details at the link below.

The Tannahill Weavers play the Rose Theatre at Ormkirk this Friday 22nd Febuary. The quartet play Scottish traditional music with a potent mixture of traditional ballads and fiery instrumentals that has drawn praise on both sides of the Atlantic.
