Syd Arthur - North West Tour Dates

Syd ArthurCritically acclaimed psychedelic prog-folk quartet Syd Arthur begin their UK tour this Friday.
This week NME included the band’s Manchester date in their 5 To See - Unmissable New Music Shows preview and have run an exclusive Playlist feature with the band, which you can read here.

Syd Arthur are touring their debut album On An On, a record that when released received 4 Star reviews from Mojo (a half page piece), Q, Uncut, and was greeting with much excitement by The Guardian’s New Band of The Day. The guys were recently included in Classic Rock’s full page High Hopes feature and were included in their Best Of 2012 lists too. Prog magazine also ran a fantastic 4 page feature with the band. In January they recorded a session for Daytrotter and next month they will be showcasing at SXSW.

There’s more to tell as well – before Christmas, Paul Weller came across the band, loved the record and went on to talk about the band in an Uncut feature where he highlighted the album as a new favourite of his. He invited the band to support him in Europe which they of course jumped at. One final detail – the band features Kate Bush’s nephew, Raven.
