Heidi Talbot: New Album and North West Tour Dates

Heidi TalbotAngels Without Wings, the latest album from Heidi Talbot is out  on Navigator Records on 18th Feburary 2013.

The release features Mark Knopfler and Jerry Douglas along with the regular crew of Ian Carr (guitars), Phil Cunningham (accordion), Michael McGoldrick (flutes/whistles), James Mackintosh (percussion), Boo Hewerdine (acoustic guitar) and Ewan Vernal (bass) and  is produced by John McCusker.

Talbot began writing songs on her 2010 album The Last Star. In just two years she’s become a master of the art, sometimes composing alone, sometimes with McCusker and Boo Hewerdine (who form her touring band).

Talbot and McCusker were keen to capture the spontaneity of performance: the album was recorded live in Glasgow’s new Gorbals Sound Studios and the result is a mixture that draws influence from traditional folk but also from Americana.

The album is being promoted with a nationwide tour which has a number of North West dates. These are detailed below.
