Syd Arthur - Dorothy

Syd ArthurEarlier in the year Canterbury based band Syd Arthur self released their album On an On. It received an incredible amount of press support with 4 star reviews across Q, Mojo, Word, Uncut, Classic Rock, Prog, Guitarist, Guitar Techniques, Guardian, Mirror, Express and more, including a Guardian New Band of The Day.

Since the album release the band have been picked up by Communion (although no official deal struck yet) who have holed them up in the studio and are currently helping book live shows for them.

The band play a breed of folk / psychedelic / prog and, being from Canterbury, have drawn influence from the famous Canterbury Sound that bands like Soft Machine, Caravan and Gong brought to prominence. More contemporary bands that they feel a kinship with are Black Mountain and Tame Impala

Syd Arthur release their new single -  Dorothy on 12th November.
