Thursday June 7, 7.30 pm Gregson Centre, Lancaster Vesna Lukic and her Balkan Band Ethnodelia from Slovenia sing songs of the Balkans - including Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia. Tickets £6 at the door.
Tuesday July 10, 7.30 pm Ambleside Parish Centre, Ambleside - the Cerknica Choir from the Vanishing Lake in Slovenia in concert with Lake District community choir Lakeland Voices and the Amble Singers local women’s group. Tickets £7 at the door.
Tuesdays throughout June and July - Lake District singing walks with Lakeland Voices. Sing with this warm hearted community choir on walks throughout the Lake District singing by waterfalls, in woods and vast Lakeland Caves, on the fellside....and in country pubs £7
Friday July 6-8 Swim Sing Thing with weekend wild camp. Come and sing in harmony with others at our wild camp up in the Lake District mountains - and also enjoy swimming in some fabulous mountain tarns and rivers. Some music - recordings and written music - of the songs can be sent in advance. Includes all meals, camp, workshops, lift shares etc. Porter service to carry heavy bags to camp extra. £85.
Friday October 5-7 Singing Settle Carlisle - learn songs about this magnificent mountains railway and sing them in harmony on the trains, in the stations, on wild walks through the Pennine hills....and round the open fires of local pubs. Plus meals, accommodation near Ribblehead station and opposite pub, concert, ceilidh, workshops etc. £115.
Friday November 30 - December 2 Dent Folk Carols festival - learn carols from Britain and other countries, and from all ages, and sing them together in the old cobbled Yorkshire Dales village of Dent. Plus concerts; live nativity play with real donkey, sheep and publicans; pub singing; walk; fabulous meals, comfortable accommodation in cosy cottages cradled in the dale...and more. £115-£140.
