A Good Reason to Go to Church

Steve AshleySteve Ashley is one of folk's finest singer-songwriters. His songs have been covered by an ever- growing list of artists, including: Fairport Convention, Anne Briggs, Martin Simpson, Wizz Jones, Phil Beer, The Bushwackers, Grace Notes and St Agnes Fountain.

His career began in 1974 with his award-winning album, Stroll On - now widely acknowledged as a folk-rock classic - and his latest for Topic Records, Time and Tide was summed up in fROOTS as 'a modern day masterpiece'.  Ashley also has what New York’s Variety called ‘one of the funniest dry stage raps’.
