New Venue – The Live Room at Saltaire

Jackie Oates folk musicHilary Booth and Ron Dukelow, the driving force behind Cambria Arts, the community arts group that ran the very successful Live at the Talbot series in Tregaron, mid Wales for ten years, have relocated to Bradford and are about to bring their expertise to the area as The Live Room as Saltaire opens.

Hilary explains: “Since Cambria Arts’ closure Ron and I had been thinking of ways to get back into the live music scene. We recently saw an article in a local CAMRA magazine, stating that the Caroline Social Club was looking to add live music to its new regeneration initiative. We met with Paul Allen, the club’s new business manager, and he was so enthusiastic about what we were proposing that we got straight to work.”

Ron says: “The music room at Caroline’s is perfect, with a great stage, acoustics and the capacity for around 200 guests.  It will work well for both a seated audience and dance crowd. If, like us, you like your live music up close in a warm, intimate venue, then The Live Room at Caroline Social Club is for you.”

The Live Room kicks off on May 4th with the Jackie Oates Band and gigs have been booked for Cahalen Morrison and Eli West, Malcolm Holcombe, Danny Schmidt and Carrie Elkin, My Darling Clementine, Gregory Alan Isakov and Kreg Viesselman.
