A Folking Good Day for All

North West Folk music clubs picSaturday 8th October sees the inaugural Edgworth Folk Day which takes place at the Barlow Institute in the Lancashire Village.

In brief, there will be workshops, sing arounds, music sessions, concerts and dance displays rounded off with a ceilidh in the evening. All day tickets are £12 with daytime and evening tickets priced at £8. Full details at the link below.

Also New…

Graham Bellinger & Bill Malkin will be kicking off a series of monthly gigs as a duo at the Blue Bell Inn in Halkyn, Flintshire on Thursday October 6th at 9pm.

Malkin's band Wagon launch their new CD Those Glory Days at the same venue, on the evening of October Thursday 13th. The band includes Bill (vocals and acoustic guitar), John Sylvester (keyboards), Dave Russell (fiddle and bass) and Chris Lee (bass and mandolin). Their music is acoustic and original.

Not New, but Still Pretty Shiny

The second season of Goblins in the Ginnel is already underway, with last month’s concert a sell out. On 15th October the guests are Katriona Gilmore & Jamie Roberts.

All events take place upstairs at The Globe Inn, Glossop, SK13 8HJ - a small intimate venue with raised stage and it’s own separate bar. Food is available downstairs before the gig.

The doors open at 7:30pm, and the music starts at 8:15pm with a short support spot. All proceeds to the MS Society.
